DMX: Zambian Artistes Pay Tribute to Fallen American Rapper

Zambian artistes have joined the world in mourning departed American rapper Earl Simmons popularly known as DMX.

DMX died on Friday after suffering a ‘catastrophic heart attack.

Zambian music star Nez Long eulogised the 50-year-old rapper as a man who inspired the whole world with his music back in the day.

“Rest In Power X! Grateful for the music and Impact on Globe!” Nez Long captioned a video of DMX reciting a powerful prayer.

Wezi Heartsound posted photo of DMX and captioned it using his famous Prayer III “Let us pray Lord Jesus it is you, who wakes me up every day And I am forever grateful for your love This is why I pray You let me touch so many people, and it's all for the good I influenced so many children, I never thought that I would And I couldn't take credit for the love they get Because it all comes from you Lord I'm just the one that's givin' it And when it seems like the pressure gets to be too much I take time out and pray, and ask that you be my crutch Lord I am not perfect by a long shot, I confess to you daily But I work harder every day, and I hope that you hear me In my heart I mean well, but if you'll help me to grow Then what I have in my heart, will begin to show…”

Chef 187 shared a photos of the deceased on his Instagram page captioning them “X”.

According to his family, DMX had been on life support since April 2 at a hospital in New York.
