How Wezi Heartsound is Inspiring Women Leadership in Zambia Through Music

Zambian songstress Wezi Heartsound has opened up on the power of music in shaping Zambia’s leadership from a political perspective.

In a recent talk show with Luchi of Phoenix FM, Wezi said that she is glad being a part of the force through music in collaboration with Non-Governmental Organizations Coordinating Council (NGOCC) pushing for women leadership.

She says that she is upbeat women can become proactive in taking their place in leading the country, a fact she has highlighted musically with the hope of sending the message far and beyond.

“I was honored to be hosted by Luchi on this legendary platform discussing the song NGOCC made with me and my fellow artists encouraging women to participate in taking up leadership roles in our society including the politics especially in the forthcoming elections!” she said.

She added that time has come for the paradigm shift in Zambia’s leadership realms. “Zambia, everyone should be free to aspire to become whatever they desire to be and the environment should be encouraging for both men and women to not only participate but also to thrive & exhale!”

Wezi is one of the revered songstresses in Zambia. She is known for her sensational music twined with lyrical words and served with amazingly beautiful vocals.
