Dre Cali to Drop Debut Album ‘Ndeleya’ Before May 2021

Fast-rising Ugandan vocalist Dre Cali has revealed that he will be dropping his debut album dubbed ‘Ndeleya’ anytime between April and May 2021.

He made the announcement on his Twitter handle but did share specific details about it.

Reacting to Dre Cali’s post, Ykee Benda, the Mpaka Records boss (the label Dre Cali is signed to), noted that he is eagerly awaiting the album.

"Ndeleya the album is due before May even gets here. It is all special special stories from jam to jam. Mpaka Boy to the world," Ykee Benda tweeted.

As a way of preparing fans for the album, Dre Cali said he is currently working on a new single titled 'Simanyi' featuring guitarist Myco Ouma and saxophonist Joseph Sax.

Dre Cali debuted professional music in 2019 after being signed by Mpaka records, but his major break-through came after he released ‘Ebisoka Nebisembayo’ and 'Ekifuba' which he says were inspired by real life experiences.

The two jams were among Uganda’s top hits in 2020, thus growing Dre Cali’s brand even further.

In 2021, he is among the artists to watch out for in the Ugandan music scene.
