Cecile Kayirebwa Named Finalist in International Songwriting Competition

‘Rwandan cultural icon Cecile Kayirebwa is just about to make history after booking a slot in the finals of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC 2020) thanks to her song dubbed None Twaza’.

Cecile is among the finalists in this grand competition. Excitedly, she took to her online pages to inform her fans asking them to support her bring the hefty award back home.

The winner of the competition is looking a cash prize of $ 150,000 as well as other prizes in the competition.

Known for her great traditional anthem, she asked fans to vote for her. “#NoneTwaza has made it to the finals #ISC2020Finalist – Delighted to be part of the 1% artist making it out of 26,000 global participants. Now it’s up to a celebrity judge panel to select the winners. You can also cast your vote for People Choice,” she wrote.

She is one of the many finalists on the 25 categories of the competition and hope she will be among the 71 winners expected to be announced in April and May.

Every week, there will be winners walking away with cash awards. ISC is an annual event with a mission to celebrate songwriters, upcoming and veterans. These are people whose songs are heard beyond the borders of Rwanda.
