Rwanda’s Gaby Umutare Makes Music Comeback after Four-Year Break

Four years ago, Gaby Umutare was a name known all too well in Rwanda, however, it faded after he decided to take a break from music.

For a period of four years, Umutare stayed away from the studio releasing no new song.

Cognizant that it has been long since he released a new song, Umutare is ready to drop a new song. Known for his cool Afrobeat music, he is ready to earn back his fan base.

He told his fans that he had not quit music but had to take a sabbatical to deal with pressing personal issues.

“I didn’t quit music but rather I was busy with some other important personal projects but I am ready to release a new song shortly after Kwibuka 27 period,” Gabby said.

He had earlier said that being a family man took a huge part of his time which he initially spent recording music in the studio. Back in 2019, Gabby said that he was concentrating on his family and got no time for recording music.

Since 2017, he has been living quietly with his family – wife Joyce Nzere and their kid – in Goulburn City, Australia.

His music star shone bright in 2014 after which he released dope tracks such as Mesa Kamwe, Ayo Bavuga, Urangora among others.
