Veteran Ugandan musician Bebe Cool has weighed in on the upcoming Uganda Musicians Association presidential election, noting that he is not confident that those who’ve expressed interest in the post have what it takes to lead the association.

According to Bebe Cool, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni should be allowed to appoint the UMA President, so that artist issues are easily pushed to the Head of State for his consideration.

He further noted that the association lacks proper organization, thus the neeed to bring inan expert who’ll help streamline artist concerns.

"If the president wakes in the morning and decides to select the person in charge of artists this term, it means every artist in very region will only recognize that one person appointed by the president. With this, we will be sure that our issues will be delivered directly to the president," Bebe Cool told journalists during the press conference.
