Historical day for the TOP25 chart

When it comes to the Mdundo download charts, unpredictable is the term that best describes it because each week the competition keeps getting rigid and artists constantly fight to maintain their positions in the charts.

What I personally love most about the charts is when the new songs come in and carry the top positions because it brings an element of rejuvenation and competition in the charts.

Last week Kanana debuted her first solo song ‘Ni mapenzi Tu’ which featured Rabbit and luckily it maintained a constant lead the whole of last week on Mdundo top ten download charts only managing to be kicked off on Thursday by Khaligraph’s Baba Malcom na Baba Yao; it still takes the crown this week as the top downloaded and most loved song in Nairobi.

This week’s top 25 downloads mark a very historical moment because for the first time ever there are more than 5 new songs in the chart.

Some songs that have kept up a good fight in the chart include Octopizzo with Nini and Ligi Soo Remix by Rabbit.
