Cindy Explains Why She’s Delayed Releasing her Upcoming Album

Ugandan dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu has blamed the coronavirus pandemic for causing delay in the release of her album that was initially set to premiere in 2020.
During the pandemic, a number of Ugandan artists released albums but they did not perform well; forcing those who were planning to drops their albums to reschedule.

According to Cindy, she held on to her music since most Ugandans were busy trying to survive through quarantine and could therefore not pay for music streaming costs.

"The music had to go stale but I'm glad I was never among them. I have my music and the full album but I couldn't release it because there was no market for it yet this is business. I decided to put it back," she said.
The coronavirus pandemic hit Uganda after Cindy had successfully hosted her 'Boom Party' concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval; one of the biggest stadiums in Uganda.

The concert was totally sold out and Cindy notes that it is the money earned from this concert that helped her live a comfortable life through the lock down period.
