Diamond Oscar: I’m a Faded Musician, But I’ll Bounce Back Stronger

Ugandan artist Diamond Oscar has admitted to being a faded musician, but admits he is working hard to rebrand himself and bounce back bigger and better.

The last we heard, Diamond Oscar was working Goodlyfe, and although he was not signed to the label, he was among the artists strongly affiliated to it.

He later moved to Team No Sleep and made a couple of hits with Sheebah Karungi. Diamond Oscar was among the top artists back in the early 2000s before he went off the music scene.

"When an artist fades, you have to go back and do underground work and find out what is lacking. No one told me but I personally noticed that my music was no longer shifting, I couldn't afford shooting expensive videos like I used to so I had fallen.

"I had to go back and do a re-check and look at what I had to do to make a huge comeback. This period is the hardest because people under look you but you learn how you bounce back," Diamond Oscar said.

According to him, he first noticed that his music was no longer working after his social media pages went down in engagement. He also compared the current music on the market to his and saw that he would no longer handle the competition.

He says he is working hard to make timeless music because he has gathered so much experience during this time.

He is known for songs like; Nkyali Bubi, Ekikopo, Superstar, Take it Easy, Terminator among others.
