For upcoming artistes in Zambia, it takes God’s grace and networks in the industry to become known to the people and Roberto, an Afrobeat star acknowledges this fact it is not an exclusive case for Zambia alone; it happens across the world.

Recently, a fan sought to find out from Roberto what he has been doing to help upcoming artistes in Zambia.

“If an upcoming artist has potential and they need your help can you help them or rather ignore them? Terry Musenga posed.

Roberto replied: “Terry Musenga I actually help them.”

Musenga, glad to have had a reply by Roberto, took him to task saying that he has been trying to reach out to him for a while now but has had no response from the “Lights Down” hit maker.

“Thats wonderful but I haven't been recognized by you yet! Tried tried and tried no response,” he stated.

Seemingly rattled, Roberto told Musenga that it is difficult to reply to every message at time because he has a huge fan base.

“Terry Musenga, In case you have not noticed I have Over 300K people on Facebook, 306K on Instagram, 94K on Twitter, 102K on YouTube. Do you honestly expect me to see everyone?” Roberto posed.

He added that he does not promote upcoming artistes; he only helps them.

“Don’t expect someone to make you. Follow your dreams without expecting people to lift you. Things have changed these days. If you have internet you can be star, you just need to know how to work around the industry,” he advised.
