Tanzanian singer Harmonize has explained why Ibraah’s music is not trending on YouTube, claiming that it is highly likely that YouTube has been down ranking the latter’s video whenever they are shared.
According to Harmonize, Ibraah is the king of new school music in Tanzania and as such, his releases should not have any trouble making it to the top trends on YouTube, unless there is some underground dealings.
“Niwazi Kila Mmoja Anatambua ..!! Kwamba Utokaji Wa Mdogoangu @ibraah_tz Chinga Umekumbana na Changamoto Kupitia Mtandao Wa @youtube Content zake Kuto Ingia Kwenye TREND Lakini Ilishatokea Hata Channel Yake Kufutwa Kabisa Uongozi wake Ukapambana Na Kuirudisha Kwaniaba Yake Niwashukuru Wote Mlionae Bega Kwa Bega Na Kuamini Katika Kipaji Chake na Kumpa Nguvu Zaidi,” said Harmonize.
Last year, Ibraah's YouTube account termination disrupted his strategy significantly as he was unable to share new videos.
Over the years, YouTube has grown to become a popular platform for musicians to share and earn a living from the music. In 2020, YouTube grew significantly owing to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic that forced creative to venture into the digital space.
Harmonize’s post was in relation to Ibraah’s latest single ‘Nimpende,’ which was released on Wednesday.
