Mejja Drops His First 2021 Single ‘Ulimi Yangu’ [Video]

Celebrated Kenyan artist Mejja has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Ulimi Yangu’ on his official YouTube channel which he opened recently.
'Ulimi Yangu' is a jam based on a comical story of how Mejja's tongue has been putting him in trouble.
The jam opens up with Mejja meeting up with his crew in the streets. He narrates several ordeals which have been caused by his loose tongue.

In the first incident, he notes that he was having a great time the previous day, after paying all his bills. His girl was also in a good mood and she was preparing a meal for him. After serving him, she sought to know how the food tasted, to which he honestly told her that she could have added some spices.
This did not sit well with her and seeing the change in the mood, he adjusted and said the food was well cooked. She changed her clothes for a date and asked for Mejja's opinion to which he told her that the colors did not match. Her patience ran out and she kicked him out of the house.

In the second incident which took place on a Saturday, he was at the bus stop waiting to board a vehicle when he witnessed daylight robbery. He alerted everyone around that the young men beside him were thieves. In a twist of events, they all turned around and beat him up. The people around took photos and laughed at him including the girl who he had been trying to help.
The third incident was work-related. Mejja narrates how one of his previous employers mistreated workers who one day planned to strike. The workers convinced Mejja to lead the strike because of his loose tongue, to which he agreed. He was concerned about losing his job but they promised that they would support him fully. After the strike, the bosses agreed to fulfill all the needs of the workers. The next day he arrived at work, his colleageus who inciiited him to lead the strike chased him away after informing him that he had lost his job.

After narrating his ordeal, the jam ends with his crew giving him his signature tumbler with a drink.
'Ulimi Yangu' is a fun, interactive and educational jam from Mejja who is currently dubbed as the king of collabos.
The visuals which help deliver the story were produced and directed by Hulk Omondi.
'Ulimi Yangu' has been well received by fans and already has hundreds of views in its first hour on YouTube.
