Renowned Kenyan artist Mejja has opened up on why he prefers to collaborate with upcoming artists over established celebrities.

In an interview with NRG radio, Mejja noted that he doesn’t like collaborating with celebrity musicians because they do not like promoting their songs.

He added that upcoming artists do a lot of work to promote their jams, which works well in this fast-moving era where everyone is consuming a lot of information from different social media sites.

He expounded that before working with someone, he has to click with the frequency of the person he is going to collaborate with because he wants to tickle peoples’ souls.

“Lakini ngoma inakuja kwa phone yako, Tv yako, radio yako, yaani ni nini itafanya usichange channel, ni nini itafanya uende kwa YouTube usearch? Ni vibe, so lazima mi na wewe frequency yetu iweze kuingiana,” he expounded.
