While Ugandans celebrated the birthday of legend Radio Mowzey who would turned 36 years on January 25, 2021, the pain of his departure is still fresh on his music partner and brother, Weasel Manizzo.
In an interview, Weasel noted that he is yet to get over Radio’s death as they shared memorable moments together.
"I miss all the crazy moments in studio, we used to go out and have fun and he would really make such nights enjoyable. We traveled together, shopped the same designs and many other things.
“It hurts how I now live my life without him. It is still hard because sometimes I think about him and it hurts how I can’t be with him. He was hard working and he did everything possible to make sure our music was productive. He was my best friend," he said.
A s way of celebrating Radio’s life, Weasel got together with his family and friends at their home and had a drinking session in honour of the late music legend.
February 1, 2021 will mark three years since Mowzey Radio was pronounced dead due to a head injury sustained during a bar brawl in Entebbe.
"We are planning on something but there won't be any crying; we have to be happy and celebrate his life because he wouldn't want us to be sad. He is in a better place so we have to enjoy life," Weasel said.
He further noted that he’ll be releasing part of their music in remembrance of the fallen hero.
