Mdundo weekly notes and highlights

It has been a great week at Mdundo as we slip into the East African music scene; first Kenya then Tanzania and Uganda.

Apart from signing a couple of artists from Tanzania this week, at home new songstress in town Kanana ruled the daily TOP10 charts with her new single featuring Swahili rapper Rabbit.

‘Ni Mapenzi Tu’ was only kicked out of number one on Thursday with Khaligraph’s collaboration with Tanzania’s Nikki Mbishi on a track tittled ‘Baba Malcom na Baba Yao’ to mean Nikki and Khali respectively.

Making debut into the chart was Grandpa Records’ Prudence with her song ‘Wale Wale’ featuring Pizo Dizo, and Abbass who broke the ice with a new release that features Bamboo ‘Jamaa Wa Mtaa’.

We also had Kristoff’s brother Pro drop a single ‘Uhai’.

Our new big sign ups from Tanzania include Beeman, Babay Madaha and Stamina.
