10 Weeks on Billboard World Albums Chart: The Story of Wizkid's 'Made In Lagos'

Nigerian superstar Wizkid's fourth studio album 'Made In Lagos' continues to get positive reception globally since it was first released on October 30, 2020.
It has been over two months since the album was released but itd songs still countinues to enjoy massive airplay across various radio and TV stations as well as streaming on digital platform.
And for a record 10th week, the album has not left the Billboard World Albums Chart.
In this week's chart, 'Made In Lagos' has moved up to spots - from 15th to 13th.
The album that features guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tems, Tay Iwar and Terri peaked on the chart at #2.
Only Burna Boy's Grammy nominated 'Twice As Tall' has spent more weeks (12) on the Billboard World Albums Chart than Wizkid's.

'Made In Lagos' had had a number of other achievements - it became the first African album to debut on the Spotify Global Album chart.
The album also surpassed 100 million streams across five platforms nine days after release.
The Starboy Entertainment boss' project has a number of popular singles propelling it to the international scenes from H.E.R assisted 'Smile' and 'Essence' featuring fellow Nigerian singer Tems - a song that appeared on the list of Barack Obama's best songs in 2020.
A collaboration with Burna Boy on 'Ginger' has also had a massive reception.
The 'Ginger' video was released recently and it has already garnered over 3.4 million views on YouTube in barely two weeks.
