D'Banj To Host a Listening Party For His Upcoming New Single

Veteran Nigerian singer and songwriter D'Banj will this Friday, January 15, be dropping his first single for 2021.

The singer who is also an entrepreneur and TV personality has announced that ahead of releasing the single, he will host a private listening party this Wednesday.

In a post on his official Twitter handle, D'Banj popularly known as Kokomaster said three of his special fans will attend the session.

The lucky fans who will attend the event that will be held in Abuja will be picked from social media.

"On Wednesday I’m having a private listening brunch in Abuja for my new single that comes out 15th.I want to pick 3 of my special fans to attend, interested? say yes and you may get an invite from me," D'Banj tweeted.

The title for the new single has not yet been revealed, and perhaps it will be known for the first time to those who will attend the 'listening brunch'.

Officially known as Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, the 40-year-old D'banj has won several music awards in his career.

Some of the awards include: Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009,Best International Act: Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, and Best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards.

D'banj is best known internationally for his 2012 summer hit 'Oliver Twist', an uptempo dance fusion of Afrobeats and electronic dance music that topped the African charts in 2011 and was a top 10 hit in the UK singles chart in 2012 reaching No. 2 on the UK R&B chart.

His stage name is a combination of his first name, Dapo, and his surname, Oyebanjo.
