"I was so hurt that we weren't represented in any category but I would like to congratulate the ones who were nominated because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in the MAMAs," Feffe Bussi said.

Last year, veteran rapper G.N.L Zamba while reacting to the list noted that no Ugandan Hip-hop musician was nominated for the awards because the current rappers are not doing enough to warrant such an award.

"Somehow we haven't reached the goals we wanted and honestly speaking in terms of material we have released, the albums are not crossing boarders like the way Nigerians are doing," G.N.L said.
