Ykee Benda Denies 'Hating' Bobi Wine

Ever since Ugandan artist cum politician Bobi Wine expressed his interest in the country’s presidency, he became a darling to many, with a number of Ugandans going all out to defend him against critics.

Several musicians perceived to be rivals of Bobi Wine have in the past faced the wrath of his loyal fans. One of such musicians is Ykee Benda who has on several occasions been caught in the crossfire with fans accusing him for hating on the National Unity Platform party flag bearer.

Ykee Benda has never publicly declared his political affiliation, creating speculation that he is against Bobi Wine.

Reacting a tweep who listed him among people who hate on Bobi Wine, Ykee Benda responded noting that he has nothing but respect for the veteran artist.

"Why would I hate Bobi Wine Man. What did he do to me? He wants to be President, I’m doing music which he has done for over 20 years. Difference is too big. Fact that you don’t see me posting him daily doesn’t mean I’m his hater," Ykee Benda posted.

Bobi Wine is keen to be Uganda’s next President and will be facing off with incumbent President Yoweri Museveni in the election set for January 14, 2021.
