The year 2020 was tough to musicians across the globe owing to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Most governments imposed lockdowns and banned public gatherings, meaning artists could not step on stage to entertain their fans.
The pandemic discouraged some artists from releasing new music, while others chose to risk and eventually won big.

One of such artists is Pallaso who arguably had the biggest Ugandan hit of 2020 in ‘Malamu’.
Following his tremendous success in 2020, his elder brother Jose Chameleone has crowned him the most outstanding Ugandan musician of 2020.
The Leone Island boss made the proclamation during their joint performance at the Club Beatz at Home finale.
"Pallaso, I'm your best fan, not because I'm your brother but when it comes to last year, I rank you number one. You are the artist of the year, best songs of the year and please keep your fire burning," Jose Chameleone said.

"You came in later and I used to overhear them thinking you are a piece of cake. Me who knows how talented you are was laughing in my fist because I knew time would prove them wrong and prove you right a million and more. Tonight I celebrate performing with you in a very special way am so proud of you," he divulged.
