JUST IN: Unsigned Hip Hop Hype Sheds Light On Yet Another Mixtape!

More than a century before rap exploded onto the American music scene, West African musicians were telling stories rhythmically, with just the beat of a drum for accompaniment. Meanwhile, folk artists from the Caribbean Islands were also telling stories in rhyme. Yes, the motherland also gave birth to this art. Reason why I delight in the event when our rappers embrace their roots and rap in local dialect, and none does it better than Kenyan sophomore hip hop rapper Poppa Don!

With the drop of his uber artistic ‘Grey Hound 2.0’ mixtape, you’d be forgiven to think he will pull a beach chair and busk in the glory of that accomplishment. He is currently working on a 10 track mixtape and he doesn’t get rid of his multilingual flow on this one; after all, besides his gravelly voice that doesn’t let you forget the genre on your ears.

'The King Of The Nile' Mixtape that will be released towards the end of the year is a 10 track Mixtape, which he terms as “another Multilingual classic”. It will have no collaborations and will simply be a showdown of Poppa Don claiming his spot as the new king Of luo lyricism/ rap.

He has shot two video's from the Project that will be released back to back in the next few week. Have a look of the photos of the upcoming projects below and anticipate the video with a clear picture in mind.

If you love hip hop and haven’t given an ear to Poppa Don, then forgive me if I assume you're deaf! Click HERE for a full library of his songs. Thank me later.
