Wizkid and Tems are the only African musicians that have a song listed among former US President Barack Obama's Favorite Music of 2020.

Obama has made it a habit of sharing a list of his favorite songs each year.

For 2020, Wizkid's 'Essence' in which he teamed up with singer Tems is among the 30 songs that Obama has named as his favorites of the year.

'Essence' is a song housed in the 'Made In Lagos' album which Wizkid released towards the end of October 2020.

It has been among the popular songs off the album and has managed over 2.2 million views on YouTube, so far, even without having an official music video.
