As the year comes to a close, Zambian musicians continue to honour the memories of the late Hip hop star and XYZ lead vocalist Daev.
Over the weekend, a new song dubbed ‘Jungle’ was released by budding rapper Fly Jay and features Daev.
In ‘Jungle’, Daev takes lead in his usual calm and collected style before Fly Jay kicks in with a mad rap.

‘Jungle’ speaks of the hardships of life which start from irresponsible parenting and ends up ruining the whole family.
In his Queen’s language style, Daev animates the song and paints an idea on what it is all about to those who don’t understand Zambian native language.
The official music video for ‘Jungle’ is great as it brings out the true aspect of how irresponsibility leads to squalor and abject poverty. Though Daev is not in the video, his voice makes you feel as if you can actually see him.
A tribute poster reading “a tribute for Daev” features in the song. SoundBwoy produced the song while Stanch of Ritemedia Inc directed the video.

A week ago, Zambian artiste Guytizzy released a bubbly hit dubbed ‘Can Never’ featuring the late Daev.
‘Can Never’ is love song talking of no going back to a lover who is not appreciative or who took all your efforts for granted.
It starts with Guytizzy and then Daev comes in with his signature voice and you can’t help but feel like he is still alive.
