Two Dope Hits Poptain Dropped in November, December 2020

2020 has been a tough year for musicians due to the lock down brought abput by the corona virus pandemic. The lockdown led to banning of public gatherings and movement, meaning accessing studio for most artists was challenging.

For Zimbabwe’s Poptain, he has not lost his allure in good reggae and dancehall vibes. He released two great hits in November and December which raised his status in the Zimbabwe at a time great music is coming out almost on a daily basis.

In December, he released a sizzling hot song titled ‘Tetena Amount’. It feels unique and far from his reggae-dancehall that we are all used to.

It has deep beats that will make you fall in love with it even if you do not understand the language.

Poptain captioned the song on his YouTube page detailing its meaning and it is encouraging.

“The song talks about spending the money you worked so hard for thought-out the year and just enjoying your money. It also talks about as much as you enjoy your money you must also be careful how you spend it. In Poptain words "Winners no when to stop the gamble”, he explained.

In November, he did ‘Kokai’ together with Nutty O and the song was warmly received. It has 819K views on YouTube in less than two months.

Kokai’s video is stunningly interesting and the choice of yellow colours across different sets in the video makes it more conspicuous and appealing.
