The two WCB musicians received the nomination in the wake of being crowned during this year's Afrimma awards.

Zuchu won the best new musician category in Africa, while Diamond was crowned the best male musician in East Africa.

With the MAMA nominations, fans are free to begin voting for their favorite acts. The awards make a return, and they will be held in Kampala, Uganda, early next year.

It is not clear if the wards will be held virtual or physical. Notably, most awards across the world have been held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.
