Eddy Kenzo Nominated for Top Award in the UK

2020 has been a tough year for most Ugandan artists with many crying out to the government to provide stipend for artists as shows and concerts are still banned in Uganda.7
Despite the challenges and struggles and 2020, Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo has had a pretty amazing year securing several global nominations.
The latest international nomination comes from the Carribean Afro Music Awards (CAMA) UK 2020.
The Big Talent boss has been nominated in the 'Best Afrobeats Act' category in recognition of his immense talent and hard work exhibited this year.
He is nominated alongside artists like BM, Andrew Ripper, Jidenna, Juls and Kuami Eugene.
Since the winner will solely be based on the public vote, Eddy Kenzo has rallied his fans to vote for him by sharing the direct link to the site.
“A very big nomination from UK – LONDON. Best Afrobeats Act. Ugandan Boy Mandela representing. God the greatest,” he posted.
CAMA Awards UK is the first dedicated ceremony in the United Kingdom aimed at acknowledging and rewarding British and international musicians under the Afro beats, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Reggaeton, UK Afro-swing and Gospel music genres.
Kenzo, who began his music career ten years back has already established a reputation in the music industry for himself, collaborating with major names all over the world. The nomination has made Ugandans proud.
