MAMA Awards is the Best Opportunity to Showcase Ugandan Music - Kabako

Early this week, MTV Base East Africa announced that the prestigious MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) 2021 edition will be hosted in the Uganda for the first time in the country’s history.

The announcement elicited massive reactions with Ugandan artists expressing their excitement over the once in a lifetime opportunity.

Reacting to the announcement, Team no Sleep singer Kabako noted that he is eager to meet and interact with top artistes from all over the world.

Speaking during a recent interview, Kabako who is known for his energetic and exciting stage performance noted that he hopes to be given an opportunity to perform on that big day.

"I'm so happy and gearing up for my energetic performance. Since they have come to Uganda, I'm getting ready and preparing my lyrics for that day," he said.

 According to the 'Sitidde' hit maker, this is an opportunity for the world to recognize Ugandan music.

 He thanked the Ministry of Tourism for investing and working with the organisers in a bid to have a successful event come next year.

Addressing artists expected to grace the event, Kabako said that most of them will want to remain in Uganda as it is a beautiful country.

"All the artists who are going to come to this land should know that the fans are crazy, friendly and lovely. People like Wizkid and Davido will think twice about going back to their country," Kabako said.
