Over the past few months, we have seen several artists plead with the government to lift the ban on performances and John Blaq has finally added his voice to this cause.

Speaking during a recent interview, John Blaq called upon the relevant authorities to think about the entertainment industry, the same way they opened up other sectors because it is their only source of livelihood.

"This is where we get what to eat. We can’t dispute the fact that COVID is still there but other places were opened. We need these people to think about us as artists because the situation is not easy," he said.

John Blaq promised to follow all the set guidelines, adding that artists are ready and willing to take half capacity during concerts just like they rest of the places that have been allowed to operate.

“We ask the government to look at it and give us a specific number of people they want in the bar. Because this is not affecting only us but the whole fraternity that is surviving on bar business,” he divulged.

John Blaq noted that he’ll take a personal initiative to educate fans how to avoid the deadly virus once their business is back to normal.

“We know the virus is there, so we shall teach them how to prevent it, provide temperature guns at the entrance, washing hands because they have to be alive for us to earn,” he said.
