Zambian artiste Roberto became a household name in Africa following the release of ‘Amarulah’ in 2015.

Immediately after its release, ‘Amarulah’ became an anthem not only in Zambia but other African countries including Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda where it got massive airplay.

Albeit the fact that he had been in the game before this track, it is right to say that it elevated him to greater heights in life.

A Kyle White production, everyone admits that this was well done and made Zambia proud. The video was on point, so were the beats and the great voice of a superstar rocking the continent with a universal song.

Five years down the line, 3.9 million people have listened to the song on YouTube, the latest being Kenyans who have been listening to the song repeatedly and did not shy away from stating it.

“Me this is my best song,” Jackline Achieng confessed while Milimo Malambo said that they “always come back” to listen to the song five years later.

“The way us KENYANS claimed this song.. It's still ours,” another Kenyan added.

What’s surprising is that the song was and still is a big tune in the Horn of Africa, Somalia to be precise. “My name is Ali love from Somalia,” another recent comment read.
