Ngaara Opens Up on His New ‘Amaraso’ Album

Fast-rising Rwandan artiste Dan Ngalamulume alias Ngaara has spoken of his debut album titled ‘Amaraso’ which he released in September.

Speaking to Daily Rind, Ngaara deeply described his journey into making the album as amazing stating that he finally found his voice while doing the album.

“Throughout the making of ‘Amaraso’, I was able to find my voice. I was able to find myself and who I am as a person and as a creative. I tend to use a more poetic and meditative approach in my lyrics. I used different and unique ways of composing and creating in order to express what it is I’m feeling – all the while staying true to myself and reality,” he stated.

Amaraso is Kinyarwanda for ‘Blood’. It is an album that preaches unity and harmony for Rwandans given the country’s 1994 genocide history.

The album also covers other topical issues among them relationships; family which he says helped him be reflective and see things for what they are and decided to share the outcome with the world.

Ngaara draws his inspiration to become bigger and better from American superstars Kanye West and rapper J. Cole who he describes as genius and greatly skilled in their art.
