Celebrated musician Lydia Jazmine is one of the best vocalists in Uganda at the moment, and just like most of the artists, her music journey started out in a church choir.
She was a praise and worship leader in her school choir and once in a year, they would minister at Watoto Church, former Kampala Pentecostal Church.
Thanks to her background, Jazmine was able to grow spiritually before she joined the competitive music industry.
Speaking during a recent church service , she noted that the music industry is so evil, adding that she the words of Psalms 23 help her go through the temptations that come with the career.
"The things we go through as artists in this industry are not easy. If you don't have God, you can't be a star because I believe God gives us the grace to achieve our dreams," she said.
"My strength has always been God and I love him. I come from a Godly family…People who admire and want to be like me, I promise you it has been God all the way…When you stick to Him, pray and follow your dreams, you can always be what you want to be, " she said pleading with the congregation never to judge artists when they come to church.
