Last week, veteran Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone officially launched his Kampala mayoral campaign ahead of the 2021 general election.
His launch was attended by several artistes including Bebe Cool's eldest son Hendrik Ssali.
No one expected to see Hendrik at Chameleone launch as his dad was in a different district campaigning for a rival party.

During the launch, Hendrik rallied fans to vote for Jose Chameleone arguing that the veteran artiste is the right candidate to transform Kampala.
According to Hendrick, the decision to support Chameleone was personal, adding that he was not bribed or coerced to support the latter.
"Chameleone and I have come from so far. He treats me like his son and gives me each and everything I ask for. I do not have a reason as to why I shouldn't support him.
"In politics, everyone is free to support who they want not because of anyone's influence. I have the right to support a person who has been there for me, and that is Jose Mayanja. Regardless of the party he is in,” he said.

In 2016, Bebe Cool ditched his dad Bidandi Ssali's party and chose to support the ruling party to date.
The party has fielded singer Ragga Dee to contest against Jose Chameleone who’s an independent candidate affiliated with Bobi Wine's NUP party.
