In the last months leading to his tragic death which occurred in September 2020, he did great music that masses listen to now not believing that the 25-year-old is no more. Here are some of his most powerful releases for 2020:
Never Been Easy
Just before coronavirus pandemic hit Africa, Daev had released his single titled “Never Been Easy” which was a big tune during lock down. It was not only a source of hope for those who listened to it, but it also an inspiration-filled song. In the song, Daev talked of the power of love which surpasses the human understanding and all hardships in life. When it premiered on YouTube, he said “In this Video the Power of Love prevails. No matter what obstacles come along the way, their love keeps on going strong. It has not been easy to be in love with you, but no matter what, I will love you still.” The song has 208,000 views on YouTube.

Kamba Ka Love
Early this year, Daev was all about love. He felt that he should send a message to Zambians on how they perceive love and treat each other when they are in love. Let’s just say it was a musical lesson worth every minute of listening. In the song shy of a 100,000 views on YouTube, he details how his love was not appreciated and was made a fool for loving and being honest.

Shower Me Love
This audio track was released in July, a time when Africa was experiencing a new life in lock down. It was themed around love, just like other single tracks that he released in 2020.
Moonlight
It is sad that the young soul passed on before releasing a video to this great song. It has little of Zambian native language but the beats are as good as they can get. You can rock to it even without understanding the language. ‘Moonlight’ was produced by Elton Sakala alias K-Man who perished alongside Daev in the car accident earlier.
Mumanja
Mumanja, a collabo by Daev and Drimz is that perfect song that talks of love and relationships with so much humour. The thing about it is its universal acceptance given the fact that it has lyrics in English which a wider pool of people including non-Zambians can understand. With English lyrics, it means the song can be listened to by not African English speaking nations but in Europe and other continents where English is a mainstay language. Daev had an affinity for songs done in English which is super cool.
