Masauti is a Kenyan swahili singer/songwriter born 22 years ago. He was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya. 

How did Masauti start his music career? 

Masautis’ music career started when he was 13, after dropping out of school due to financial constraints. He developed a liking for music as he escorted his friends to a studio in Mombasa. 

Later, he ventured into the capital city of Nairobi where he put out a few records before meeting renowned music producer Tedd Josiah.

Masauti has been putting out music since 2014 and it took him 5 years to become a household name in Kenya. Within a span of one year, Masauti has collaborated with major Kenyan household names including Khaligraph Jones in ‘Hao’ and ‘Boondocks Gang in ‘Hainishtui.

His hit song ‘Ipepete’ propelled him into a mainstream artist in Kenya and has already amassed over 5million views on YouTube.

He recently released his Extended Playlist (EP) dubbed ‘Liar’ which features one of the top female artists in the country Tanasha Donna. His latest track EP list includes; Liar, Foyu, Burudani, and Deka.

In 2019, Masauti released a hit song dubbed ‘Dondosha’ featuring top Tanzanian artist from Wasafi label  Lava lava. The track has already amassed over 2.9 million views on YouTube. 

Masauti is currently one of the most sought artists in Kenya and is extending his wings across East Africa.
