Remembering '20.10.20' Lekki Toll Gate Massacre In New Burna Boy Track

With the current #ENDSARS revolution going on in Nigeria, many artistes have risen to advocate for peaceful demonstration that do not necessarily involve destruction and Loss of life. One of such artistes is Burnaboy who has strongly stood against violence and has gone to an extend of dedicating his new track ’20.10.20’ To Lekki Toll Gate Massacre
The song that was released in the early hours of October 23, 2020, by the Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy is dedicated to the recent dark events, which have been taking place in Nigeria and especially the dark event that happened on October 20, 2020 at the Lekki toll gate where many Nigerians were injured and about 10 Nigerians citizens killed by a group of suspected Nigerian military members.
Despite the fact that the Nigerian government has failed to accept and take responsibility for the To Lekki Toll Gate Massacre that took place on the 20tthh October, Nigerians vow never to forget the event that saw them lose their friends and relatives.
Currently, all Nigerians want is peace. As such Burnaboy is working on documenting a grim moment in Nigerian history that will see Nigerians remember and mark the day on their national calendar, as they remember the people the lost on that dark day.
