Music production is a game of dynamics and things change very fast in this industry. Today, this genre is on top and tomorrow, another is topping the charts.

The versatility of any given music producer speaks of his prowess and this is what has triggered a debate in Rwanda as Lil G, a famed musician gave a word of advice to an upcoming producer named Element who is having a good time in his career.

Element has a huge following and his music is topping Rwanda’s musical charts but Lil G feels he should go a step further to establish a brand for himself.

Lil G, the owner of Round Music Studio says that Element has made it but falls short of creativity which could him propel him to greater heights now that he is a highly sought after music producer.

Lil G maintains that some of the music produced by the young Element has no much difference as the rhythm and beats are the same.

He cited ‘Passe’ by self-styled Coga artiste Rafiki Mazimpaka and Eudouce Softman’s ‘Nyaranja’.

“Only people who listen to music with a critical ear can tell that there’s no difference between songs worked on by Element. So as a piece of advice to him, he should think out of the box and be creative because soon people running after him will disappear in thin air. Let him use this fame he has to be more creative to stay on top of his game,” Lil G said as quoted by KT Press.

Element is behind super great hits such as ‘Henzup’ by Bruce Melodie, ‘Saa Moya’ again by Bruce Melodie and ‘Kora’ by The Ben among others.
