Eko Dydda tells Mdundo why his love for Jesus has gone bananas!
29 October 2013
A thing or two that nobody can stand to dispute is Eko Dydda’s originality in releasing hits and lyrics prowess.
Eko burst into the lime light with his debut single 'Niko Na Reason' featuring gospel rapper Holy Dave which bagged the Grove Awards hip-hop song of the year in 2010 where he also won the New Artist award of the same year.
It’s not about being better, but different; that’s what Eko represents with his unique ‘staggering-stammer’ style of music in most of his songs.
‘Love Gone Bananas’ is another one from him that we’ll all fall in love with. The intro establishes a good beat that sets up the song and with Eko’s creativity he keeps the tempo throughout the song.
Speaking to Mdundo in a phone interview, Eko Dydda said that the amazing way in how God created us is what inspired the song and the way our bodies function is something we should be really grateful for.
“The fact that I have a voice, I love my skin color, teeth and many other simple privileges we ignore makes my love for Jesus go bananas,” Said Eko Dydda adding that, “so far the reception has been good and I wanna say a big thank you to all fans for supporting my music with God taking all the glory.”
