Avant – garde Bongo artist, TID, responsible for endless hits back in the day such as ‘Zeze’ and ‘Siamini’ is about to make a comeback in the industry and in no mediocre fashion; he has recorded a song with one of South Africa’s most profound artists, Tumi Molekane! And ‘Bongo’ is the name of the song.
“Mimi Na Tumi tumefanya kazi moja nzuri sana studio jana” stated TID during an interview “Tumetoka late sana kama saa kumi hivi. Tumerekodi wimbo mpya ambao unaitwa Bongo. Tulikuwa tinawasiliana muda mrefu kupitia social network, tukapata nafasi baada ya kuingia Dar es salaam ndo tukaamua kufanya kazi. Tumi Molekane also shared the excitement on social media saying: “In studio with the very shirtless TID hehe. For real this dude is crazy talented”
From their words this sounds like a crazy collaboration. TID is known for his emotion injected lyricism and silky voice, while Tumi on the other hand, is the embodiment of rap itself. So these two qualities fused will be the biggest reaction ever since the atomic reactor was built.
