Smart Djaba Bounces Back with New Banger Dubbed ‘Jiji’

Prolific songwriter and singer Smart Djaba is at it again. This time he brings us a groovy afro pop track titled ‘Jiji’.
‘Jiji’ is a song produced by two top Nigerian producers; Kel-P Vibes and Ransom. These two are credited with creating bangers for mega stars like Burna Boy and Run Town.

"Jiji is a song about my experience when I came to Nairobi for the first time. I had a very rosy image of the green city in the sun, an image created to the people who haven’t been to the city by the media. When I reached Nairobi, I was struck by the reality that it is a tough place to live in especially if you do not know anyone and you have to start life from scratch," Smart Djaba said.
The song’s melody is soulful and manages to bring out Djaba’s message in an easy manner despite the fact that what he is singing is deep and very personal.
Smart Djaba, real name Salumu Ramadhan Jabiri, is the newest and hottest male artiste on the Kenyan music scene right now and this is owed to his smooth vocals, good fashion sense and great songwriting skills.
In October 20, 2019 he performed for the nation of Kenya in the Mashujaa Day National Celebrations held in Mombasa.
In 2016, he was part of the artists selected to be part of Artists for Refugees Project by UNHCR Kenya and has done collaborations with several artistes both locally and internationally like Kenyan RnB singer Sultan Wa Pwani, South Sudan hip hop artist Emmanuel Jal, American hip hop artist Just Q and Congolese native hip hop artist King Moses among others.
