Rwandan musician Ngabo Médard Jobert popularly known by his stage name as Meddy; the Rwandese RnB star has an interesting musical journey.
Meddy, 31, has almost seen it all in his musical journey which at one point was leaned on gospel music before he decided to cross over to the secular world.
Meddy was born and raised in Rwanda where he discovered his talent in singing. He went ahead to release gospel hits before flying out to the US in 2010 following invitation by the Rwandese community living in Washington.
With music deep in his system, Meddy did not stop singing; he made effort to keep his dream alive. He never felt quite at home while in Chicago in the US thereby informing his return to Rwanda seven years later.
By this time, he was already a celebrity in Rwanda with his gospel hits “Holy Spirit” and “Burinde Bucya” cementing his fame.

But it was after his return in August 2017 that he elevated his status in Rwanda’s music industry to a “charismatic” artiste. Since then, he has done incredibly well in the industry acting as a linkage between Rwandan artiste and other big names in East Africa.
His charming and melodic voice in ‘Dusuma’ hit, a collabo with Kenya’s RnB king Otile Brown left Kenyans enchanted and yearning more of his music.
Meddy has also done a collabo with Wasafi’s Rayvanny alias Vanny Boy as well as Kenya’s Willy Paul.
