Beauty to some extent plays an important role in the music industry. Over the years, there has been a debate on the importance of body image and looks in the music industry.

While most people believe that you have to ooze awesomeness to make it in the music industry, young Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica believes that looks aren't as important as reliability and talent in this dynamic industry.

Speaking in an interview with Galaxy FM, the Fresh Gang Records boss slammed the belief especially with women who assume they can make their way to the top surviving on just beauty rather than talent.

"You can't make the cut without the talent. Beauty is just not enough because fans are not going to listen to it, instead they want real music. If you have to concentrate on beauty, just choose modeling because you don't need talent for that," Fik Fameica opined.

Fik Fameica believes the beautiful female artistes who have done well for themselves and made it in the music industry have talent and are hard working.

"They are either  talented, hardworking or blessed, or anything that can make a musician survive but not beauty. A good body maybe a plus one but not entirely that," he said.
