Over the years, the Ugandan music industry has been fueled by rivalries and beefs between various artistes, with each trying to outshine the other, thus giving us amazing music.

In Uganda, many artistes use beefs as a means to promote their music careers. However, legendary rapper G.N.L Zamba thinks this strategy is outdated.

The rapper who has been involved with a number of feuds with fellow rappers revealed that they always fought to get attention and hype for their new music, adding that it did more harm than good.

"It only worked for hype but at the end of the day, the beefs damage to your career, friendships, your mental and physical health,” he said.

Addressing several diss tracks directed towards him by his competitors in the industry, G.N.L divulged that he never pays attention to most of them because they are full of negativity.

"I want to divert my attention to things that are positive; things I want to give my attention so my energy is always diverted to these things," G.N.L said.

The legendary artiste noted that beefs only divide the music fraternity, adding that young artists should work together and produce amazing songs that will put Uganda on the global map.

"Beef is never an answer because it is always destructive. But if you turn that energy and unite these two different people meant to be beefing, that is what we call power," he said.
