Feffe Bussi Defends Ykee Benda from Ridicule over his AEAUSA Nomination

Ugandans on social media were earlier this week celebrating the news that most of their favorite artists were nominated for the 6th Edition of the African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEAUSA).
Among the many categories that were presented, one stood out ‘Best New Artist’ where Ykee Benda nominated alongside other Ugandan artistes.
Although he is nominated alongside fellow Ugandans like Daddy Andre, John Blaq and others from across Africa, a section of fans thought it was unfair as he has been in the industry for quite some time now.
Reacting to Ykee Benda’s nomination, his fellow artiste Feffe Bussi noted that there is no shame in being nominated under that category.
“It is global and we shouldn't complain. Ykee Benda may be an already existing artist here in Uganda but compared to Africa, he may just be starting out. This is not a competition for who came first but the rest of Africa," Feffe Bussi said.

Feffe Bussi was nominated in the Best HipHop artist category alongside bigwigs like Cassper Nyovest, Khaligraph Jones, Sho Madjizo, Ycee among others.
The prestigious two-day event will happen on the 12th of December in the city of New Jersey.
Launched in 2015, the awards aim to support, celebrate, promote, and uplift the achievements of African musicians.
