5 Top Naija EPs Released In First Half Of 2020

2020 has seen several top projects released by a number of Naija musicians.
We take a look at some of the top Extended Plays (EPs) released in the first half of the year.
'Oxygen' by Oxlade
Released towards the end of March, 'Oxygen' is a debut EP from fast-rising Nigerian singer Oxlade.
The 6-track EP that combines Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, R&B and Country influences was produced by among others: Spax, Lussh and Nosa Apollo with 'Away' arguably the most popular single in the project.
Other songs off the EP include - 'O2', 'Hold On', 'Kokose', 'Weakness' and 'Tables Turn' in which Oxlade featured British-Nigerian singer Moelogo.
'Razor' by Cheque
Cheque who is signed to the Penthause Music label dropped this 5-track EP in July
'Razor EP' houses the trending song 'Zoom' as well as 'Loco', 'Satisfied', 'Odun' and 'Hollywood'.
'The Live Report' by M.I Abaga
At the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, rapper M.I Abaga dropped 'The Live Report' EP in April.
The 6-track EP features rapper A-Q as well as Big Daddy.
Tracks in the EP are: 'Tone of the Conversation', 'The Live Report', 'Jesus said Use you Head', 'Club Yourself', 'When I'm Gone' and 'Braveheat'.
'One Day You Will Understand' by Mr Eazi
In this 4-track EP released early June, emPawa Africa boss Mr Eazi teamed up with several talents at the label including Nigerian Afrobeats singer C Natty and Ghana's King Promise.
Tracks in the 10-minute project are: 'I No Go Give Up On You', 'Baby I'm Jealous' featuring King Promise, 'Ogogoro No Sweet Pas Pam' and 'Baby This Your Body Na Gone Fine Fine Okpeke' featuring C Natty.
'Get Layd' by Omah Lay
'Get Layd' is arguably the biggest EP that has been released by a Nigerian artist this year.
When Omah Lay dropped this project in May, he was hardly a popular name in the Nigerian music industry, but fast forward a few months later, the EP is now the most-streamed.
'Get Layd' houses 5 tracks, all of which are hit singles from 'Bad Influence', 'You', 'Lo Lo', 'Damn' and 'Ye Ye Ye'.
