When Zimbabwe’s gospel musician Lindani Masuku alias Minister Lindani wrote her latest gospel song, “Touya Ishe” she wanted it to be a prayer calling for the cleansing of Zimbabwe.
In the new hit single, she has featured ‘Vusa Mangena’ and ‘Vuyile Qongo’ in the video with more shots of her home village in Bulawayo.
Minister Lindani’s prayer is quite interesting because it comes in the form of kindness where she visit homes and donates foodstuff and basic household commodities to both the young and the old who have been left with nothing to eat due to a depressed economy that was worsened by the coronavirus pandemic.
She explained that this is an act of kindness she picked up from her late mother, Lackel Masuku who always gave the old something to eat
‘Touya Ishe’ is a prayer song for Zimbabwe where we are asking God to heal our land. Giving to these old people is part of my prayer that God will heal even our economy so that these vulnerable groups will be fed.
“I dedicate this ‘Touya Ishe’ video launch to her as a mother taking into consideration that she’s the one who mentored me in the music industry since the age of four,” she told a local blog.
