Diana Hopeson Out with ‘Hope Vol. 1’ Album

Legendary gospel songster, Diana Hopeson has launched her new album titled Hope Vol. 1. The flamboyant event took place on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Megleant Hotel at Pantang Junction in Accra.
The newly released album is set to be widely distributed on digital platforms with the help of Ghanaian music streaming service, Aftown. The new album was well compiled with the aim of commemorating her golden jubilee celebration that consists of a Christmas pageant and industry seminars.
The jubilee celebration will keep going up to next year with activities such as ‘Valentine Special’, ‘Epiphany’, and ‘GHMusic Publishing Artistes On Parade’. Nonetheless, the celebration will climax on the Friday 23rd, 2020 during the ‘Women in Creative Arts Honours’.
Diana Botchway professionally known by her stage name as Diana Hopeson once served as the president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). She also worked as the Chairperson of the Interim Management Board of the Copyright Society of Ghana (COSGA) and she was also an active member of the board of the Ghana Music Rights Organization. Diana Hopeson is also well known for her outstanding gospel songs such as, ‘Nyame Ye Odomfo’, Winner” ‘Jesus Says Yes’, ‘Egbe Na Momo’, among others.
She has immensely contributed towards the Ghanaian music industry, which has saw her win a National Honours Award in 2007. The award was handed to her by former President John Agyekum Kufuor. The veteran minstrel has been doing gospel music for over 30 years with her debut album being released in 1991.
Throughout her music career, Diana Hopeson has been able to release over 10 albums. She is currently serving as the 2nd Vice-Chairperson of GHAMRO and the CEO of GhMusic Publishing & Management.
