Ugandan songstress Karole Kasita has come clean on reports that her music career and lavish lifestyle is financed by a mystery man, tagged as a sponsor.

Music is an expensive venture; the cost of studio sessions, video shoots, attires among other necessities requires a huge chunk of investment in order to remain consistent and relevant in the competitive field.

Female artistes are often judged harshly, with the media at times appearing to suggest that female musicians with no known source of income rely on sponsors for support.

One artiste who has been alleged to have a sponsor is Karole Kasita, however, she has vehemently denied the claim.

Speaking during a recent interview, Karole noted that she is an independent woman and caters for her own studio sessions, songwriters and everything else.

"I pay my own bills. We are very hardworking women and we trail so hard to make ends meet. Even if I have anywhere I get the money from, there is no point talking about it," Karole said.

Now that the performances and shows are on hold due to COVID, Karole Kasita says she is investing in fashion, especially selling clothes.

"My fashion line deals with ladies’ clothes and they are very affordable," she divulged.
