Eddy Kenzo is Uganda’s Most Blessed Artist – Kato Lubwama

Legendary artiste turned politician Kato Lubwama has confessed that Eddy Kenzo is one of the biggest and most blessed Ugandan musician in the history of the country.

Speaking during an interview on Spark TV, Kato Lubwama noted that Eddy Kenzo has an impressive CV and boasts of several global accolades.

His words of praise come after Eddy Kenzo made an appearance on New York's Time Square billboard thanks to his remix of Monique Sekka's famous 'Minsouwa' jam.

"Among all the musicians born in Uganda with blessings, Eddy Kenzo is the most blessed of them all," he said.

Kato Lubwama testifies that he has witnessed a number of legendary artistes like Jimmy Katumba, Philly Lutaaya who sing better than Eddy Kenzo but believes that cumulatively, the  'Tweyagale' hit maker is the best.

"He told me he may not like his music too, but God blessed him and He prophesied his rise to greatness. It has been like three years but he has never stopped and his music is international. He may not concentrate so much on the lyrics but he puts all his attention on the sounds," Kato divulged.

According to Kato Lubwama, he is happy to celebrate with Eddy Kenzo because he has done a good job representing the Ugandan flag especially in America.

In 2015, Eddy Kenzo became the first East African to win a BET award.
