Mr Eazi's Joint Effort With Major Lazer 'Oh My Gawd' Featuring Nick Minaj, K4mo Debuts On 2 Billboard Charts

A recent hit single from Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Mr Eazi alongside Jamaican trio group Major Lazer has found its way into two top Billboard Charts.

The single that also features Trinidadian-American rapper Nick Minaj and K4mo was released about a week ago.

According to Charts Africa, 'Oh My Gawd' has debuted at number one on Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and number 11 on Billboard Digital Song Sales chart.

The World Digital Song Sales chart is a weekly record chart that ranks the 25 best-selling international digital singles in the world.

'Oh My Gawd' is a single off Mr Eazi's upcoming EP 'Something Else' that is scheduled for official release on October.

The track is a fusion of Dancehall, Afrobeats and EDM sounds which takes lyrical inspiration from reggae classics by Black Uhuru and Baby Cham.

It has been reported by multiple music platforms that 'Oh My Gawd' has been worked on for the past two years.

While dropping the song, Mr Eazi narrated events that led to the creation of this club banger.

“This record was really fun to make,” Mr Eazi says, “and it’s crazy how it went from hearing a K4mo intro in the studio with Fred Again, to me jumping on it and then Diplo hopping in! And Walshy hitting me up to say it’s a banger—next thing Nicki is on it! Been a journey really, like two years in the making and I can’t wait to perform it at my next festival!”

The song was released alongside an official dance video that has over 900k views on YouTube in a week.

An official video is expected to be dropped soon.
