Kofi Kinaata Releases a New Song to Educate on COVID-19

Kofi Kinaata, the renown highlife musician, has released visuals that aim at sensitizing people on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the common symptoms and ways to keep safe titled “Corona Virus”. .
The main message passed across the song is how the virus is spread, the common symptoms of the virus and ways to minimize its spread. The song was shot at the seashore centering its attention on the fisher folks in Ghana. Being an educational song, it received immense support from various prominent bodies in country such as the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Fisheries Commission, Ghana National Canoe Fishermen Council, National Fish Processors and Traders Association, the University of Rhode Island and USAID.
Directed by Director Abbass and sound production done by Two Bars, the song is well written the Fante, Nzema, Ga and Ewe languages, with English subtitles to help non locals understand the lyrical content of the educational song.
Kofi Kinaata, also known by his birth name as Martin King Arthur, is an outstanding songwriter who has been able to win several awards, including the ‘Song Writer of the Year’ award at the recently-held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs). He has been the first artist to win this award three times, meaning that he is an excellent songwriter.
